CUBA, MO. (AP) -- The family of a missing kayaker says the 27-year-old St. Louis man's body has been found in a central-Missouri lake.
Bob Dixon of Kirkwood says the body of his son, Robby, was found Saturday morning in Indian Hills Lake in Crawford County. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that he apparently drowned.
Family members said Robby Dixon was reported missing on the morning of March 10. He had been staying with a girlfriend at a house near the lake and had taken his kayak onto the water at night to gaze at the sky.
Bob Dixon says that when his son failed to return by morning, the girlfriend took another boat out on the lake to look for him. She found the kayak right-side up, half full of water.
