COLUMBIA -- Columbia Police are investigating an apparent drug deal gone bad.
Police said Antwine Jackson, 20, arranged a drug deal with residents at Campus Lodge Apartments just before midnight Thursday.
Jackson went to the back bedroom of the residents’ apartment looking at the marijuana.
Then he left the room to open the front door, allowing two black males wearing ski masks, carrying handguns inside.
The two males wearing ski masks pointed the handguns at the victims while they collected the marijuana.
The police said while the suspects were gathering the property, there was a gunshot, which the victims believe was accidental from one of the suspects.
They went on to say when the suspects left the apartment, there was a second gunshot.
During their investigation officers learned Jackson was at an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the side of his body.
Jackson was treated and released for minor injuries.
He was then arrested for first degree robbery and armed criminal action.
