BRANSON (AP) -- Branson city officials are trying to make it harder to manufacture methamphetamine.
The Board of Alderman voted Tuesday night to require a doctor's prescription for some medications that contain ephedrine and pseudoephedrine.
The medications are often used to make methamphetamine.
The bill makes exceptions for the drugs in liquid or gel-cap form. It is more difficult to separate the ephedrine in those forms than in the dry pill form.
KY3-TV reports Branson joins more than 30 communities in Missouri that have similar laws.
