Update:

Columbia Police identify the victim as an 18 year old hispanic female.  Police say there are no signs of foul play in her death. The medical examiner will do an autopsy.

Original story:

The Columbia Fire Department has confirmed a body has been found in the central part of town.

A female's body was found in Capen Park along the Hinkson Creek Trail. That park is off Rock Quarry Road, just south of Stadium Boulevard and the MU campus.

A group of college-aged females are on the scene, hugging and crying.

MU Police, University Hospital and Columbia Police also responded.

Police aren't releasing any other details at this time, including whether or not the death seems suspicious.
