COLUMBIA, MO. -- Organizers of the True/False Film Festival can count on even more help from the University of Missouri as the national celebration of documentaries returns to Columbia starting tomorrow.
Some of the most popular films will be shown on the Mizzou campus at Jesse Auditorium and the University-operated Missouri Theatre.
True/False has previously included venues at Stephens College, but its growing popularity forced organizers to rely on larger auditoriums at Mizzou.
This year’s main box office opens tomorrow at noon at the corner of Broadway and Hitt streets in the old Pasta Factory building.
Event organizer David Wilson said, “If you want to join the rush, do it. We start passing out cues for the box office for the noon opening at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. For some of the bigger shows, there’ll still be plenty of tickets later on in the afternoon, even on Friday. You can come down and grab your tickets.”
The 4-day festival features writers, directors and producers discussing their movies with the audience after each screening.
Scheduled films include "Undefeated," which just won the Oscar for best documentary feature and was co-directed by a Mizzou graduate.
