COLUMBIA, MO -- Eating disorders will be the focus of a series of events this week on the Mizzou Campus. It’s part of a national campaign to raise awareness about the problem.

The events include free eating disorder screenings from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Women’s Center in the MU Student Center.

Organizers also plan to show and have a discussion on a film that examines public portrayals of body image.

Another event looks to spread smiles and confidence across the MU campus. “Operation Beautiful” calls on the public to write positive messages on public bathroom mirrors in the student union.

For more information about the events mentioned and all the others, check out the Eating Disorders Awareness Week flyer here.
