One man is dead and a St. Francis County Deputy is injured after a shoot-out in Farmington, Missouri yesterday.

Officers tried to arrest the man for jumping bail, that's when the 32-year old suspect barricaded himself inside his apartment with a shotgun.

The man allegedly ran from the apartment and fired a shot before getting away, but it didn't take long for officers to track him down.

Deputies said the man shot at them as they approached.

A bullet hit one deputy in the leg.

Officers returned fire, killing the suspect.

The suspect's name has not been released.

The officer that was shot doesn’t have life threatening injuries.
