FULTON -- A man is in the Callaway County Jail after leading police on a high-speed chase.
The Fulton Police Department said just before 5 p.m. Saturday they got a call of a high-speed vehicle pursuit coming into Fulton.
Holt Summit police, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Callaway County Deputies, were pursuing a white Pontiac Trans Am driven by Mitchell Atterberry, 34, as it entered Fulton, and that’s when the Fulton Police Department joined the chase.
Atterberry led law enforcement through the streets of Fulton before heading west of town
on to county road 305 where he brought his vehicle to a slow roll.
From there he got out of the car and ran while his car rolled into a ditch.
A sergeant from the Fulton Police Department along with a Highway Patrol sergeant chased Atterberry through a field and took him into custody.
Atterberry was charged with failing to yield for an emergency vehicle, careless and imprudent driving, and resisting arrest along with multiple traffic offenses.
Atterberry had out standing warrants for his arrest out of Cooper and Camden counties
and a no-bond warrant out of Cole County for possession of meth-amphetamine.
Atterberry was transported to the Callaway county jail pending a $45,000 bond.
