University police investigating robbery

University of Missouri Police are looking for a man they believe robbed someone at gunpoint near Memorial Union.

Police said they responded to the call at 2:07 a.m. Thursday southwest of Memorial Union. The victim told police a black male had robbed him about 15 minutes earlier.

The robber is described as a black male, in his late 20s or early 30s between 5'6” and 5'8” tall. He was described with a heavier build and last seen wearing dark blue jeans, and a light gray hoodie that may have had MIZZOU lettering on the front. The victim said the robber had his hood up at the time of the robbery.

He was last seen running north along Hitt Street near the Fine Arts Building.

Anyone with any information is requested to call Detective Sam Easley at (573) 884-3721, or CRIME STOPPERS at (573) 875-8477. Individuals also may submit tips online at 875tips.com. Individuals may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1500 if the information leads to an arrest.
