Transform Jefferson City rejected by voters

Voters in Jefferson City rejected a plan to transform the community with five projects in five years.

About 61% of Jefferson City voters said no to the project while 38% voted yes.

The vote totals were 5,069 no and 3,224 yes.

The initiative would have added a half-cent sales tax to pay for the projects the committee had planned.
