BOONE COUNTY, MO. -- Polls weren’t very busy in Boone County with just the Presidential Primary on the ballot.

Boone County Clerk Wendy Noren predicted a turnout of about 17,000 voters at her polls for the primary.

Noren set up 50 polling sites.

Some sites offered electronic ballots.

Newt Gingrich did not appear on Missouri’s Republican Primary ballot because he failed to file on time.

Some call Missouri’s Presidential Primary “a beauty contest” because Missouri delegates will choose their Republican candidate for president during a March Caucus.

Missouri’s polls remain opened until 7 p.m. tonight.
