Contractors in Hannibal found fetuses in jars in the basement of a Hannibal property.

The property was once the site of a clinic and there were long-time rumors that those who ran the clinic performed illegal abortions. The current property owner indicated the discovery may support that rumor.

“I know they did medical procedures and stuff,” property owner William C. Neff told KRCG's sister station KHQA. “I was told that they helped a lot of ladies. That's all I know.”

The property is currently under renovation. Neff's father once ran a chiropractic practice on the site.
