Police search for shooter

Columbia Police are looking for the man who fired shots and injured a 22-year-old.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Lincoln Drive just before 10:00 p.m. Monday. That’s where the 22-year-old was found with a gunshot wound to his upper thigh. He was taken to the hospital with the non life-threatening injury.

Witnesses said a fight broke out between the victim and another person. During that altercation, the suspect brought out a handgun, and one round struck the male victim.

Officers found two different types of shell casings at the scene, but not a firearm.

Police said there is no suspect information at this time and no arrests have been made. 

The investigation is ongoing
. Officers report the victim has been uncooperative.
