Update: 5:10 p.m. on Jan. 20:

Authorities have identified the girl hit by a bullet that went through a house early Friday morning.

Nakesha Berry, 16, is a Jefferson City High School sophomore. Berry said she sleeps in an unusual position and the bullet could have easily gone through her head.

She and her family believe their neighbors are drug dealers and the gunshot was meant for them. Her family said a broken air conditioner unit may be what saved her life as the bullets passed through that before hitting Berry.
