Stover residents are speaking out about criminal charges their police chief is facing.

January 5th,Chief Jackson Trampus was charged with assault for a January 2011 car accident where he was found to be driving under the influence.

Residents we talked to said they think he should be held to a higher standard.

Teresa Wilson, owner of All American Liquor and Smokes told us, "From what I hear from my customers, they're a little concerned that we have a chief of police that has that kind of record. I can't have a DWI and run a liquor store".

The Chief's arraignment is set for February 17th.
