Centralia voters will decide in April on two issues to pay to expand the town's library.

Aldermen Monday night voted unanimously to put the issues on the ballot.

They 15 cent tax levy and bond issue would pay to build a new addition to the library which has seen usage of books and computers grow.

Library Director Patt Olsen says the bond issue would raise about $800,000, and the expansion would benefit people of all ages.

The 3000 square foot new addition would include a children's area, meeting room, separate computer room and reading room.

Plans also call for expanding the parking lot, and expanding hours to open the library on Sundays.

Taxes would go up. In addition to the 15 cent tax levy, the bond issue would raise taxes by 18.75 cents.
