The inaugural Mid-Missouri restaurant week kicks off Friday.
Area restaurants will feature special menu items, with fixed prices, for lunch and dinner.
For every special meal served, 10-percent of the amount raised will be set aside for the Buddy Pack Program.
That's a program that fills a school book-bag with child-friendly and nutritious food that students take home to supplement their meals when there's not enough to eat at home.
Seven restaurants in Columbia, Jefferson City and Boonville are participating.
The event runs until Sunday January 22nd.
