This weekend, you have a chance to get rid of some old electronics.

An electronic waste collection is scheduled for Saturday, January 7th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Midwest Recycling Center at 1327 Highway 179. That center is in Jefferson City, but organizers say the event is open to anyone.

There is a $15.00 fee for TVs and a $5.00 fee for computer monitors.

Other electronics; such as refrigerators, air conditioners, microvaves, cell phones and more are free. Organizers say basically anything with a cord or battery can be brought in.

If you have any questions, please call the City of Jefferson Recycling Coordinator at 573-634-6410.
