COLUMBIA, MO. -- Columbia city council members are meeting tonight to take on several important issues.

The meeting was delayed one day because of the New Year’s holiday.

On the table is a proposal to change rent payments for people living in mobile home parks.

City leaders recently voted to eliminate rent payments for 3 months before the closing of a trailer park.

Mayor Bob McDavid and other city leaders question the legality of that decision.

The change came after the announcement of the closing of Regency Trailer Park where more than 100 people have to find a new place to live by March 1.

Columbia city leaders will also discuss plans for a new terminal at Columbia Regional Airport and the option of hiring private contractors to help with snow removal.
