Traffic stop lands two in jail

A traffic stop in Belle Saturday night landed two people in jail.

Belle Police said a passenger in a car that had been stopped car tried to flee on foot and threw a beer bottle at the Police Chief.

Police used a taser on 29-year-old Keith Brummett, of Linn, and took him into custody.

Officers also arrested Jamie Luecke, of Belle.

Police found meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car, and later found more meth hidden on Luecke.

Both suspects were taken to  the Maries County Jail.
