Four people are still recovering after their car crashed into a house.

Columbia Police are investigating to see exactly what caused a person to drive through a closed garage door.

Officers tell KRCG the accident happened late Thursday afternoon at 1810 North Garth Avenue, near the intersection of Garth and Leslie Lane.

When fire crews arrived they found that a car had driven through the closed garage door and hit a parked car. The parked car was pushed into the living room of the house.

The adult driver and three juvenile passengers were taken to the hospital immediately affer the accident for an evaluation.

No one in the home was injured.

After safety crews inspected the house they determined it was safe for occupancy.
