Jefferson City's city administrator tells us the council has a lot to accomplish in 2012.

Jefferson City Council will meet next Tuesday.

Their agenda for 2012 includes redistricting, rebuilding, and fueling growth by attracting more people to Jefferson City.

"What can we do to essentially from an economic stand point pull Jeff City up by its boot straps? Really the answer to that is what we need to do in Jefferson City is attract a lot more young professionals and get them to move here,” Jefferson City's City Administrator Nathan Nickolaus said.

Nickolaus said the transformation of Jefferson City is one of the most important issues the council will consider in 2012.

There will be a vote in February to determine if higher taxes will help make improvements for the city.
