Update: Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 4:11 p.m.:

A jury found William Vaught guilty of first degree statutory sodomy.

Closing arguments began Tuesday morning. The case wrapped up by 11:30 a.m.

Vaught will be back in court on January 24 for a sentencing hearing.

The trial for a former Jefferson City school bus driver is expected to wrap up Tuesday.

William Vaught is charged with first degree statutory sodomy.

His trial started Monday in Cole County Court. Court officials said closing arguments began Tuesday morning.

Vaught was arrested in August of 2010. Court documents indicate the alleged incidents involved a person younger than 14-years-old and happened between May and December of 2010.

First Student Bus Company suspended Vaught following his 2010 arrest.
