Man crashes scooter after he slid on ice

JEFFERSON CITY -- A man was taken to the hospital after his motor scooter slid on ice and crashed in Jefferson City.

It happened just after 9 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of Dix Rd.

Timothy Duncan, 51, was making a right turn from Industrial Dr. onto Dix Rd. on his 2009 Roadrunner Scooter when he slid on ice and lost control.

Duncan and his scooter went off the pavement, skidded and struck a curb.

The scooter went over the curb.

Duncan was ejected and hit the pavement.

He was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for his injuries.
