Derrick Washington heads back to court

Derrick Washington is scheduled to appear in Boone County Court on Monday.

Washington will have a hearing at 2 p.m. before Judge Kevin Crane on two charges of third-degree domestic assault.

The charges stem from a Sept. 2010 accusation that Washington hit an ex-girlfriend and choked her during a late night argument.

Washington was arrested on sexual assault charges two weeks before the arrest for domestic assault. He was found guilty in September on those charges and was sentenced to shock jail time.

Washington is scheduled for a jury trial for the domestic assault charges on Dec. 21
