(AP) -- If people in St. Louis no longer want their Albert Pujols jerseys, a church in the city will take them -- and send them to the same place the outgoing Cardinals slugger is heading.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that The Gathering, a Methodist church in St. Louis, heard that many people in the Gateway City are burning or discarding their Pujols jerseys after hearing the slugger had signed a free-agent contract with the Angels. So the church began a "Recycle the Five Drive," in honor of Pujols' jersey number.
People can drop off their Pujols jerseys for donation to charity in Anaheim, Calif.
