The latest
economic numbers
have shown stagnant growth and in some industries like factories, a decrease in demand.
So why isn't the economy growing? We want to help our viewers get their questions answered.
On Wednesday, connectmidmissouri.com will host a live chat at 12 p.m. with a member of President Barack Obama's economic advisory team.
Jason Furman
is the assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Pricipal Deputy Director of the National Economic Council. He has been an economic advisor under two presidents and was President Obama's Economic Policy Director for Obama for America.
He holds a Ph.D. in economics and a M.A. in government from Harvard University and a M.Sc. in economics from the London School of Economics.
There are several ways viewers can ask questions. You can log on to connectmidmissouri.com at 12 p.m. Wednesday for the chat. Viewers may also submit questions by emailing them to
sbackus@krcg.com
or submitting them on this story.
During the chat, we'll be tweeting various questions and answers on @krcg on
Twitter
. We are also taking question submissions using the hashtag #askthewh.
What questions about the economy do you have for the chat?
