Food on the stove causes apartment fire

An apartment fire damages a home in Fulton.

 It happened about 8:30am Thanksgiving morning. The Fulton Fire Department says unattended food on the stove caused the blaze in apartment 22 of the Westview Apartments at 1307 Westview St.

No one was hurt.

The fire department sent 17 firefighters to the scene with 3 engines, one rescue squad and one ladder truck.

The apartment was on the second floor. Damages to structure and contents were estimated at $30,000 to the structure and an estimated $5,000 to the contents.
