Silver Star presented to area veterans

Today, Governor Jay Nixon will mark Veterans Day Week by presenting Silver Star Banners to four area military veterans.

The Silver Star Banners recognizes veterans who were wounded or become ill while serving in combat.

Today's veterans represent World War II and the Vietnam War.

The presentations to the veterans will take place Monday morning at the State Capitol.
