Pedestrian gets hit by a truck while walking on crosswalk

One person was taken to the hospital for a serious head injury after being hit by a truck in Jefferson City.

According to the Jefferson City Police Department, William Dallmeyer was driving a pickup truck southbound on Broadway Street and failed to yield the right away to people on the crosswalk, and struck Wilson Loar who was walking on the crosswalk.

Loar was taken to the University hospital in Columbia to be treated for serious head injuries.

Dallmeyer had no injuries.
