Man arrested after police chase

BOONE COUNTY -- A man was arrested after the Boone County Sheriff’s Department was alerted of a suspicious vehicle in the area.

When deputies tried to identify the white SUV, the driver, 53 year-old Columbia resident, Barry Rhodes fled in the SUV.

Rhodes led deputies on a chase from Creasy Springs Road to the west side of Highway 763, just South of Brown School Road where it ended.

Rhodes was arrested for Resisting Arrest by Fleeing, Possession of Marijuana, Driving While Suspended, Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer, Careless and Imprudent Driving, and Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle.

Rhodes posted his total bond of $6645.00
