(AP) -- Kansas is reporting more cases of listeria linked to contaminated cantaloupe.

The Kansas City Star reports that (http://bit.ly/n90fJO ) Kansas health officials said Friday that federal investigators have confirmed that three more listeriosis cases in the state are part of the national outbreak.

That brings the total number of cases in Kansas to 10.

Three of the people have died.

Kansas usually has reports of fewer than six listeriosis cases per year.

Federal health officials say that since August more than 120 people from 26 states have been infected with listeria bacteria traced to the cantaloupes from a Colorado farm. About 25 people have died.
