A Ralls County man is in custody in Boone County after he was caught by authorities with stolen property.

At around 2 a.m. Friday morning, Boone Country Sheriff's Deputies were informed that a suspicious vehicle had been seen in the Eagle Knoll Subdivision in Southern Boone County. The callers seemed to think the occupants of that vehicle may have been breaking into parked cars in the area.

Upon arrival, deputies saw a car matching the description pulling away from the subdivision. They pulled the car over and discovered a wallet that belonged to a Eagle Knoll Subdivision resident.

The deputies got in touch with the resident and discovered that the wallet and other items were taken from inside his home while he was sleeping.

36-year-old Ronald Lee Allen Jr., of Hannibal, was then taken into custody. He is accused of Burglary in the 1st degree and stealing.

Allen's bond has not yet been set by a judge.
