More Missouri kids living in poverty

More kids in Missouri are living poverty thanks to a shrinking household income.

The American Community Survey from the U.S Census Bureau says one in five Missouri children live in poverty.

But, according to the Missouri Budget Project there is some good news.

Director Ruth Ehresman said more Missouri families would have slid into poverty if safety nets weren't put into place by the federal government.
