Boone County convenience store robbed at gunpoint

COLUMBIA, MO. -- A Boone County convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Saturday night.

Close to 8:15 p.m. Boone County deputies responded to a report of a robbery at the Midway Little General located at 6751 Highway 40.

When officers arrived the store clerk told them a suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded cash.

The suspect left the store on foot after taking an unknown amount of money.

The suspect was described as a black male approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build.

The Boone County Sheriff's Department is asking anyone with any information to contact 875-TIPS, or go to www.showmeboone.com/sheriff and fill out the anonymous tip form.
