Shot fired in overnight armed robbery

Columbia Police are investigating an armed robbery where a shot was fired.

Police say at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the Breaktime convenience store at 301 Nebraska Avenue.

Police say two men entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. One of the men had a gun. A shot was fired inside the business, but no one was injured.

The men fled the Breaktime with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police describe both men as black males, 5'11, with a thin build. They were last seen wearing all dark clothing.

If anyone has any information about this incident please contact the Columbia Police Department or call Crime Stoppers at 875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
