A burglary suspect is in jail after police said he broke into a Boone County woman's house.

Deputies arrested Robert Levar, of Columbia, Monday night. Officers were dispatched to the 700  block of Demaret Drive around 10:10 p.m. when a woman called saying a man she knew was trying to break into her house.

The dispatcher heard the woman screaming and crying as the suspect entered her home.

Deputies arrived and took Levar into custody on suspicion of burglary, stealing, property damage and domestic assault.
