Columbia Police are looking for the person who robbed a business Tuesday morning.

Just before 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, Columbia Police were dispatched to the robbery at the Sonic restaurant at 708 East Business Loop 70.

Police said a male employee arrived Tuesday morning to open the business. That’s when he was approached by a male subject from behind. The subject demanded the employee enter the business and give him money. He implied he had a hand gun, although a gun was never seen.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. No one was injured in the robbery.

Columbia Police describe the suspect as a light completed black make. They said he is about 6’2 and 195 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

Anyone with information should call the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
