BOONVILLE, MO. -- A 2002 Boonville double homicide is the subject of a reality television tonight.

The Investigation Discovery Channel’s Nightmare Next Door program relives the murders of Alyssa Owen, 8, and her mother Janice.

The network description of the program says…“The tiny town of Boonville, Missouri is devastated when the body of eight-year-old Alyssa Owen is found near a rural country road.

When another body turns up six weeks later, investigators soon learn the senseless brutality of this double homicide.”

Producers interviewed KRCG’s Mark Slavit who will be featured on the show.

The program airs tonight at 9 p.m.
