Suspect on the loose after armed robbery

Columbia police are searching for a suspect who held up a convenience store Tuesday night.

Police were dispatched to the Fast Lane at 1013 N. West Boulevard at 9:35 p.m.

Officers said a male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash. Witnesses said the suspect ran east from the business. There was one customer and two clerks inside the Fast Lane at the time of the robbery. No one was injured.  

Police described the suspect as a black male, short in stature, who was last seen wearing shorts, t-shirt and a mask

If anyone has any information about this robbery please contact the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
