Fatal accident in Pettis Co.

A Booneville woman is dead after an accident in Pettis County early Sunday morning.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 2 am on Route O at Boonville Road.

46-year-old Linda Moon was driving north on Route O when she ran off the road.

Her car went airborne and crossed an adjoining road before hitting an embankment.

Moon was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a safety device.
