Update: Friday, August 5th at 10:00 a.m.:

The Water Patrol said 52-year-old Steven Bunk, of St. Charles, drowned Thursday night in the Lake of the Ozarks. Troopers said neighbors saw Bunk swimming alone in the Lighthouse Cove when they saw him struggling in the water and then go under.

The Miller County Coroner pronounced Bunk dead just before 10 p.m.

A man's body was pulled by divers from a cove at the Lake of the Ozarks Thursday night.

Sgt. Jerry Callahan of the Water Patrol Division of the MO State Highway Patrol reports it happened at the one mile marker. Divers from the Lake Ozark Fire Protection District recovered the body at 9:15pm.

Neighbors reported seeing a dog alone on a dock and a flotation device in the water. That's what prompted the search.

Officials expect more information on the victim to be released soon as next of kin is being notified.
