Flags will be flying at half-staff around Missouri Tuesday in honor of a fallen national guardsman.

Specialist Jordan House was a national guard soldier who stepped forward to serve those in northwest Missouri affected by the summer flooding.

While still on duty, the 19-year-old from Independence died in a car accident on July 25th when he was returning from the disaster area.

U.S. and Missouri flags at state buildings will be flying at half staff in all 114 counties to honor his sacrifice.
