COLUMBIA, MO -- One of eight murder suspects in a Columbia shooting has pleaded guilty.
Daron Peal entered the plea Thursday afternoon to a charge of 2nd degree murder. Peal admitted his involvement in the shooting death of Aaron Hobson.
Hobson was in Columbia last October during Homecoming weekend to watch his cousin play football for the Tigers.
The shooting happened in a Break Time parking lot on East Nifong near Providence.
Seven others, including Peal’s brother, Darris, face charges in the incident.
Earlier this month, a judge set a trial date for Peal. Because of the plea, the trial will not happen.
