Two days ago, Casey Anthony was acquitted on a count of first degree murder, another count of manslaughter and a count of aggravated child abuse. It was a decision that prompted strong opinions in Mid-Missouri, a community facing an upcoming emotional murder trail against 17-year-old Alyssa Bustamante, who is accused of killing 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten in 2009.

Anthony was, however, found guilty on charges that she lied to law enforcement. Thursday morning, a judge sentenced Anthony. With time served, Anthony will only spend one more week in jail. Her release date is July 13.

We asked the KRCG Facebook fans what they thought of the sentencing. Many were shocked, saying the sentencing was too light. Many were still upset about the acquittal. Some said the jury got the case right, noting a lack of strong prosecution in the case.

Here are a few of the comments KRCG Facebook viewers had:

After the jury's decision was read in the courtroom, we asked if Mid-Missourians agreed with the acquittal.

The Facebook question received almost 4,000 responses with an overwhelming "no" response.

Do you agree with KRCG Facebook fans that the sentencing was too light? Do you think Casey Anthony should have spent more time in jail for lying to officers? Sound off below!
