Update: June 29 at 11:10 a.m.:
Jefferson City Police have corrected a piece of information regarding the shooting. Police said the man arrested is named Rodney Pritchard.
Police also said Michael Pritchard, Sr. is a family member's name who was not involved in the shooting.
Update June 27 at 2:30 p.m.:
Jefferson City Police are releasing more details about a Sunday morning shooting that landed one Jefferson City man in jail.
Police said they were called to the hospital after a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound arrived. According to police, the gunshot wound was a result of a father-son domestic dispute on Leandra Lane in Jefferson City.
When officers tried to communicate with the suspect in the shooting, 44-year-old Michael Pritchard, Sr., they got no response. Jefferson City SWAT and crisis negotiation teams were called to the scene, due to the nature of the incident.
Crisis Negotiators talked with Pritchard for about an hour, according to police. Then, he came out of the home and was taken into custody without incident.
The 24-year-old suffered a serious gunshot wound to the foot, but was able to be stabalized at the hospital.
Pritchard was charged with first degree domestic assault and armed criminal action. He is housed at the Cole County Jail with no bond.

Just after midnight Sunday morning Jefferson City officers were called to a local hospital after a Jefferson City man suffered a gunshot wound to his right foot.
Detectives at the hospital and were able to get possible suspect information.
At about 5 a.m. Sunday morning, a 44-year old Jefferson City man was taken into custody in relation to the shooting.
Charges are pending at this time. Jefferson City Police are not releasing anymore details of the crime at this time.
