Two people were killed in separate accidents Monday in Mid-Missouri.

24-year-old Amanda William of Owensville was killed Monday night at 7:05 in a two vehicle accident at Highway 50 and Gasconade County Route A.

The Highway Patrol said William pulled onto the highway into the path of another vehicle. Two people in the other car were transported to local hospitals with moderate injuries.

In the second fatality accident, 23-year-old Cassie Brady of St. James was killed when the car she was riding in left the roadway, hit a ditch and overturned.

That accident happened at 3:30 p.m. Monday on Phelps County Route B, about five miles north of St. James.

Five other people in the car were injured; four occupants were thrown from the vehicle. Troopers said none of the people in the car were wearing safety restraints.
