Health, heat, and flooding are all things we should be preparing for in Mid-Missouri.
According to the Centers for Disease Control you should avoid mosquito bites by wearing long pants, socks, and long sleeved shirts.
You should also avoid unstable buildings, and wild or stray animals.
Beware of electrical and fire hazards like fallen power lines, cleanup and mold prevention are also common problems left behind by floods.
You should also avoid heat exhaustion and strain, if you feel yourself over doing it you should contact your medical professional immediately.
