A fifth burglary suspect arrested in Boone County

BOONE COUNTY, MO. -- Authorities have arrested a fifth person in connection with several burglaries in eastern Boone County.

Deputies arrested Christopher Huffstetler, 21, after finding about $3,000 worth of stolen property in his home on Wednesday night in the Blue Acres Trailer Park.

Investigators said Huffstetler and 4 other people burglarized numerous businesses on May 26.

The other suspects are Nathan Clayton, 21, Angela Clayton, 22, Kelsey Skouby, 22 and James Walters, 46.

Wednesday night’s arrest brings the total amount of stolen property to about $8,000.

All 5 suspects also face various drug charges.

Numerous electronic items, office equipment, a laptop computer, a TV and a checkbook were all believed to be stolen from Magnus Enterprises near the Centralia exit on Interstate 70.

Investigators said this burglary case in an ongoing investigation and more arrests are possible.
