Update: June 7 at 10:45 a.m.:
The United State Geological Survey said the 4.2 magnitude earthquake was centered near Sullivan in Franklin County. It hit at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday and was felt as far west as Columbia and as far east as Carbondale, Ill.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office received several calls about the earthquake but no reports of damages or injury. The Sullivan Police Department also got calls about it.

Residents in Jefferson City felt the effects of a magnitude 4.2 earthquake in eastern Missouri.
The rumbles were felt just after 3 a.m. The center of that earthquake was located about 50 miles southwest of St. Louis. Its depth was 3.2 miles below the surface.
So far no injuries or damages have been reported.
